Why Noah?

"Religious Movies Are Sweeping Hollywood. Rich Investors Are Pouring In Millions."  -

Investment Oppertunity

There is a growing trend of interest in biblical stories across both cinema and television, as evidenced bythe success of shows like The Chosen and House of David. Thses projects are finding strong support from viewers seeking faith-based content that delves into spirituality, moral conflict, and historical narratives. The Chosen, for instance, has garnered millions of views and raised over $100 million through crowdfunding, demonstrating the demand for high-quality biblical storytelling.

This surge in interest is not limited to streaming platforms. Films like Jesus Revolution have performed exceptionally well at the box office, tapping into the appetite for meaningful content.
As highlighted in a recent Variety article, director Jon Erwin and producer Kelly Merryman are actively persuing biblical stories with universal appeal (House of David). This growing trend indicates that shows like The Remnant: Noah can tap into a large and enthusiastic audience eger for compelling biblical narratives that resonate with contemporary issues and themes.

Biblical Outreach

As believers, outreach isn't only optional-it's our calling. As Jesus declares in the great commission:"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Today, in the era of mass media and the internet, we have countless outlets to reach millions instantly. We believe that the story of Noah offers a profound opportunity for biblically based outreach. Despite inaccuracies in pervious film adaptations, both Christians and non-Christians have shown interest in this ancient narrative. A new, well-produced portrayal of Noah's story can spark discussions and inspire audiences to explore the biblical text for themselves.

In today's increasingly secular culture, people often "do what is right in their own eyes." Noah's story reflects a similar worldview and demonstrates the consequences of a society that turns away from God. Through the Remnant: Noah series, we aim to present a clear vision: God offers salvation and redemption in a world that has rejected Him.

Creative Potential

As storytellers driven to create compelling and thought-provoking narratives, we see immense potential in exploring not only Noah himself, but the entire world he lived in. The stories are there, waiting for us to tell them- full of mystery, adventure, faith and conflict, and the potential to captivate audiences with an epic blend of creativity, history, and professional storytelling,

The Bible describes an anncient civilization that existed roughly 4,600 years ago, advanced in technology, structure, and culture, only to be wiped out by a cataclysmic flood. By many estimates, the biodiversity we see on Earth today represents mearly 1% of what existed in the past. Modern research opens the oppertinity to depict rich, vibrant environments, including lush forests, expansive plains, and unique ocean biomes. The possibilities for the wildlife are equaly compelling, offering a chance to bring to life creatures long extinct or imagined.

SERIES SYNOPSIS

The Remnant is an epic saga that explores themes of survival, faith, and the human condition across two timelines centered on Noah's life. The story begins in a world still blessed by God's providence, with Noah grappling with his divine purpose amidst the power struggles in the city of Enoch.
Over three seasons, we will witness Noah's journey from overseeing Jabal's estate to building the ark as the world descends into chaos.
The series delves into family dynamics, betrayal, and the seductive allure of power, culminating in the great flood and the struggle to rebuild civilization.
In the present timeline, Noah, now elderly and isolated, embarks on a perilous journey with two fugitive slaves, leading to a climatic showdown in Babylon. As the two timelines converge, Noah faces challenges that test his faith and relationships, particularly with his son Ham.
The narrative ultimately underscores the resilience of the human spirit, the grace of God, and the dire consequences of pride.

World Design

It is essential to have the entire journey mapped out with a clear end in mind to ensure the story is told in a compelling way. As we see in scripture, our Creator also knows the end (Rev. 22:13).

Rodinia

Inspired by the modern concept of a pre-flood supercontinent, Noah's life and journey will begin on Rodinia.

Time will be marked using Anno Mundi, an ancient Jewish calendar based on the timeline of the biblical creation account.
Abbreviation: A.M.
Latin: "in the year of the world" - the year dating from creation in Jewish chronology, based on Rabbinic calculations.
